About Me

Hi, I’m Umaar Ehsan. My work is rooted in a simple truth: every story is unique, and when told thoughtfully, it has the power to open doors to opportunity.

I know this because I’ve lived it. From community college to Cornell and Harvard, I’ve experienced firsthand what it takes to rise to the expectations of the world’s top institutions. Along the way, I’ve refined the skills that truly matter in this process: how to craft a narrative that resonates, how to illuminate your strengths in a way that feels authentic, and how to communicate your story with the clarity and confidence that sets you apart.

These aren’t just concepts I’ve studied—they’re skills I’ve mastered through personal experience and professional leadership. From founding a tech company and raising funding to leading projects at Harvard Business Publishing’s AI Innovation Lab, my career has been about solving complex challenges, highlighting what makes ideas stand out, and delivering results that matter.

Today, I’m also leading a team to build Umee ("You-Me"), a social fitness app designed to cultivate meaningful, in-person connections (www.Umee.Social). These projects are deeply connected to my belief in the power of thoughtful design, whether it’s for technology, education, or the moments that define our lives.

Outside of my professional work, I’m an aspiring pilot, captivated by the possibilities of the skies. That same curiosity and drive inspire me in all areas of my life—whether it’s helping students craft standout applications, building innovative learning experiences, or creating technology that brings people together.

Admissions is no different. It’s about more than checking boxes or meeting requirements—it’s about clarity, precision, and above all, honesty. I understand the weight of this process and the nuance it demands. My goal is to help students navigate it with confidence, presenting their unique strengths and stories in a way that feels effortless, yet leaves a lasting impact.

This is the work I love— guiding people to meet their potential, thoughtfully and intentionally.

Together, we can shape the next chapter of your story.
